Lee Johnson has bolstered his midfield options with the signing of former Bury and Sheffield Wednesday player, Mike Jones.
The Liverpudlian, who started his career with Tranmere Rovers, has signed a two-year contract with Oldham Athletic.Jones becomes Johnson's second signing of the summer after Joseph Mills signed a two-year deal with the club last week.
The 26-year-old spent the last two years at Crawley Town, making a total of 90 appearances, scoring five goals.
Jones said: "I'm very excited about the prospect of what could be happening here next season. The manager is very ambitious and I'm excited to get started.
"His enthusiasm to get me into the club was one of the reasons why I signed for the club. He sees me as a central player and he thinks he can improve my game so hopefully we can give it a good go next year and be up there.
"I want to excite the fans and give Oldham a good season next year. I want to score goals, get assists and make things happen."
