Deal sealed for giant centre back

Latics have completed the signing of giant Latvian centre back Edijs Joksts,

The 20-year-old, who stands at almost 6ft 5in, has signed a one-year deal subject to Football Association approval and international clearance being granted.

Joksts, a Latvian under-21 international, has impressed at Boundary Park during a trial and manager Lee Johnson sees great potential in the player.

And Trust Oldham will be helping finance the wages of Joksts through the PlayerShare scheme.

Joksts is the latest player PlayerShare has contributed to following on from Luke Beckett, Cedric Evina and Shefki Kuqi.
