Youth team turns to youth
Latics are to play five schoolboys in their youth team for tomorrow's game against Accrington Stanley in the Football League Youth Alliance's North West Conference.They will play an under-17 side in the under-18 league as they have one eye on the future.
The starting line up will comprise six first-year scholars and five schoolboys.
The majority of second-year trainees are to feature in the reserve team for the remainder of the season.
Tomorrow's game at Chapel Road kicks off at 11am.
