Same again for big cup game

It was a case of same again for Latics for tonight's FA Cup with Budweiser, fifth-round replay at Everton.

Caretaker Manager Tony Philliskirk went with the same team which kicked off Saturday's home npower League One match against Portsmouth which ended in a 1-0 victory.

The side included centre-half Jean-Yves M'voto who was declared fit having been sent home sick yesterday and central-defensive partner James Tarkowski who was substituted late on during Saturday's game through a tight hamstring.

There was no place for the fit-again James Wesolowski who sat out Saturday's match against Pompey with a tight hamstring. He had to settle for a place on the bench.

Also on the bench was Matt Smith, Latics' cup hero, who scored twice in the win against Liverpool and the last-gasp equaliser against Everton at Boundary Park in the 2-2 draw a week last Saturday.

There was no place in the Everton team for Marouane Fellaini as the dangerman was ruled out through injury.

Latics (4-4-2): Bouzanis; Brown, Tarkowski, M'voto, Grounds; Croft, Furman, Baxter, Obita; Barnard, Iwelumo. Subs: Cisak, Wesolowski, Simpson, Smith, Millar, Winchester, Mellor.

Everton (4-4-1-1): Howard; Coleman, Distin, Jagielka, Baines; Miralles, Gibson, Neville, Pienaar; Osman; Jelavic. Subs: Mucha, Heitinga, Oviedo, Naismith, Hitzlperger, Vellios, Duffy.
