Aussie keeper back from international duty

Latics' keeper Liam Jacob is back at Boundary Park after three weeks away on international duty.

The teenager (pictured) was in the Australia squad for the Asian qualifiers for the under-20 World Cup.

The qualifiers took place in Dubai where Australia qualified along with South Korea, Iraq and Uzbekistan.

Australia qualified for the quarter finals from their group of four nations.

They beat Jordan is the last eight before bowing out in the semis against Iraq.

Jacob, who played 45 minutes in a warm-up match against South Korea, described it as great to play in the tournament.

He said: "It was a great experience to watch Arabic and Asian teams and their different styles.

"It was my first experience of tournament football and I gained a lot from it."
